Trauma-Informed Investigations

DESCRIPTION

This session is recommended for human resources and labour relations practitioners.

Trauma-informed investigations take into account the psychological impact that an investigation can have on the parties. Also, participants involved in the investigation process may have personally experienced trauma. Investigators need to be trained to recognize the signs of trauma and how to handle the investigation in a way that is sensitive to the emotional needs of the parties involved. During this one-day workshop participants will deepen their understanding of trauma-informed practices and cultural humility as they apply it to investigations, disclosures and reports.
